As you probably know, Google Duo, the application of video call, has been the subject of numerous updates. It allowed briefly to the users to share their screens, but subject to several bugs, it was quickly suspended. Now, this screen-sharing feature is no longer available.
Then, while waiting for it to be reinstated, take a look at our 2 alternatives.
Share the screen of a computer or a smartphone with Join.me.
Join.me is a free app, desktop and mobile (Android and iOS) intended for a professional use, but it is equally effective if you want to teach your mother how to send pictures via Whatsapp.
Download Join.to me, open the application and select one of the suggested options (Join a meeting and Organize a meeting).
Create your account, follow the steps displayed on your screen, and once configured, you can launch your meeting via a custom link or a single-use code.
The screen sharing does not start immediately, to do this you need to click on the share icon (screen bottom right) that warns you that your entire screen will be shared with the participants. The tower is played !
Share the screen of a computer or a smartphone with Zoom Cloud Meetings.
Zoom, again, is designed for work teams that need to collaborate at a distance. This is another free alternative and is based on the Cloud, thanks to it you will be able to send instant messages, share files, as well as your screen. This app can be used on smartphone (Android and iOS) and on PC (Windows, Mac OS, and Linux).
There are also paid subscriptions, if you wish to take advantage of more features or if you want to increase the number of participants.
