How to do a screenshot on an iPhone or iPad ?.


The daily screenshots can be very useful. For example, you can “take a picture” an error message is displaying your iPhone and ask for help to a friend, or save information such as bus times, train, or route. It pwas also used to share unusual images found during your research on the net, etc

1/ Make a screenshot.

Simultaneously press and hold the button Walk (depending on your model at the top right of your iPhone, or on the side) and the button Main, at the bottom of the screen.

You’ll see a flash effect on your screen and hear the sound of shooting, unless your iPhone is not in Silent mode.

Note that it is the same for the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, although the Main button does not fit.

This manipulation is simple but tricky, because if you exert too much pressure, you might turn off your device or change sound volume.

2/ take a screenshot (in silent).

You just make your first screen shot in a bus crowded, all passengers have heard the sound of your capture, thinking that you have taken a photo of ?

For you to avoid embarrassment, put your iPhone in Silent mode before any capture screen.

3/ Find your screenshot.

The screenshot is a picture of the screen, it will automatically be saved in your app Photos.

Open the app Photos of your device..
Tap Albums at the bottom of the screen..
Select the folder All of the Photos or the folder Screenshots..

You will also find your screenshots in Collections :

Open the app Photos of your device..
Tap Photos on the bottom left of the screen..
The photos are classified by Years. Select one, the folder Collections opens.
Your photos and catches are now listed by date from least recent to most recent.

4/ Send your screen capture to your contacts.

If you want to send your screenshot to your friends, follow these 4 steps :

In the Photos app, select your image..
Tap the Share icon (rectangle with an arrow pointing upward), located in the bottom left of the screen..
Select your shipping method : sms, email, Twitter, Facebook, etc.
Fill in the fields. Finally, send, share or publish, depending on the option chosen.

You can also add your capture to a text message :

Go to the Messages app.
First, enter the name of your contact in the To field..
Press the Camera icon..
Choose your template and send your sms.

5/ Pass the format .png to .jpeg.

iOS automatically saves your screenshots in the format .png, which can be confusing, because the pictures have the size automatically .jpg.

If you need the format .jpg for your shipment, or to upload your capture on a platform that accepts only this format, then you will need to convert.

The easiest way would be to do it from your Mac :

Connect your iPhone or iPad to your Mac..
The application Preview opens automatically..
Select your capture.
Drag and drop it on the Desktop of your Mac or click Import.

The Preview of your capture opens.

Click on File, then on Export..
In the Format section, select .jpg in the drop-down list..
Finally, click Save..

6/ Make a screenshot when one of the buttons does not work.

If the on/Off button or the Home button does not work, you should know that it is still possible to make a screenshot of your screen.

For this, you need to use theAssistiveTouch. This virtual button, touch replaces the physical buttons on your iPhone.

To enable it :

Appointment in Settings – General – Accessibility.
Further down in the list, select the feature AssistiveTouch.

A virtual button white on a black background now appears on your screen, it allows you to use functions of your iPhone.

To make your capture of screen with the touch AssistiveTouch :

Press Device.
Then, select a row.
As soon as you are ready, press the on screen Capture..
